Linda K. Franks, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Franks received her Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine with Honors. She then trained at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital in Internal Medicine. Her dermatology residency was completed in 1990 at New York University Medical Center. Her residency training included a year as a Sulzberger Fellow in Cell Biology, focusing on skin physiology research, and a final year as Chief Resident.

Dr. Linda K. Franks joined Gramercy Park Dermatology Associates in 1994 after completing active duty with the rank of Major in the US Air Force. Throughout her career, Dr. Franks has focused on combining the use of both laser technology and advanced skin rejuvenation techniques for the treatment of damaged and diseased skin. Her overall philosophy includes the early detection and treatment of skin cancer using the most effective techniques. In addition to skin cancer prevention and treatment she has a particular interest in prevention and early intervention of the aging face.

Dr. Linda K. Franks is Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York University School of Medicine. She is an accomplished teacher, writer and lecturer and her work has been published in many dermatological medical journals and consumer publications, including Newsweek, Allure, Self, Ladies Home Journal, Mademoiselle and Redbook. She has also appeared on television and radio shows across the country. Dr. Franks served as a consultant to ALMAY's skin care team as well as the REVLON Research Division. She continues her commitment to promoting skin health. She is currently on the wound care advisory board of Johnson & Johnson involving the development of new and innovative products.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society.
